1. Choose the Right Tools:
- Use a soft-bristled toothbrush with a small head to effectively clean around brackets and wires.
- Consider an electric toothbrush for thorough cleaning, especially if you find it challenging to manoeuvre around your braces.

2. Brushing Technique:
- Start by rinsing your mouth with water to loosen any food particles.
- Hold your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the gum line.
- Gently brush in small, circular motions around each bracket, ensuring that you cover all surfaces of the teeth and braces.
- Pay extra attention to the areas between the wires and gums where plaque tends to accumulate.
- Brush the chewing surfaces of your teeth with back-and-forth motions.
- Don't forget to brush the inner surfaces of your teeth and the roof of your mouth.

3. Timing and Frequency:
- Brush your teeth after every meal and snack, as well as in the morning and before bedtime, for a total of at least three times a day.
- Spend at least two minutes each time you brush to thoroughly clean your teeth and braces.

4. Use Fluoride Toothpaste:
- Choose a fluoride toothpaste to strengthen tooth enamel and prevent tooth decay.
- Avoid whitening toothpaste with abrasive particles that may damage your braces.

5. Interdental Cleaning:
- In addition to brushing, use an interdental brush (Red Colour) or floss threader (Superfloss) to clean between your teeth and under the wires.
- Slide the interdental brush (Green Colour) between each bracket and wire, moving it in a back-and-forth motion to dislodge any trapped food particles.

6. Regular Dental Check-ups:
- Schedule regular dental cleanings and check-ups to monitor your oral health and address any concerns.

Remember: Proper brushing is essential for maintaining good oral hygiene and preventing dental problems during orthodontic treatment. By following these brushing instructions diligently, you can keep your teeth and braces clean, healthy, and free from plaque and tartar buildup.
